Q: We're very lucky to have Melissa, aka "CatBitch", here with us today to tell us about her professional catfighting and erotic women's wrestling career. Welcome, Melissa!
A: Hi! Thanks for having me in today. I've been dying to get on the site;)
Q: Our pleasure. As one of the net's premier catfighting personalities, what are your thoughts about the current state of women's erotic fighting and wrestling?
A: It's never been better. More and more girls are coming into the pro ranks and the bouts are getting bigger and better sponsors. It used to be just a saturday night thing at the local bar, but now it's becoming a major attraction at exclusive clubs and many casinos.
Q: Yes, I know that you've been one of the top female fighters in Las Vegas for the past few years.
A: It's my home away from home. While I live and train in Hollywood, California, I spend lots of time in Vegas. I love it here.
Q: And you've been doing very well here too, right?
A: Yes! I just recently signed a contract with a new adult company to do a whole campaign of women's catfighting stuff - fights, merchandize, webcam broadcasts and DVDs. It's going to be marketed around the world. I'm so excited!
Q: As well you should be. Could you tell us how you started in catfighting and female wrestling?
A: I was in high school and totally bored with the sports they offered. Field hockey? YUCK! I wanted to join the wrestling team, but not to wrestle a bunch of sweaty pimple-face boys. I've always been attracted to girls (I had my first bisexual experience at 14 and loved it!;) but the school wasn't that...progressive, hehe...so I started my own backyard female wrestling league so to speak.
Q: Really? How many girls?
A: Three! LOL! Me and my girlfriend and another girl we knew. We would come home from school and try on different costumes to try and make a persona, then head out to the backyad and stage our own little matches. Pretty soon word got out and we were invited to do it at various private parties and such.
Q: I bet the teenage boys loved that!
A: Yeah, they did! But lot's of their girlfriends dug it too and pretty soon they were showing up at my house for our own private bouts. We even started working out together and hanging out on weekends. It was really awesome.
Q: But then your mom found out???
A: YEP! Total meltdown! She thought for sure I was some crazy butch lesbian and was going to end up getting kicked out of school. She didn't believe that girls could just enjoy combat as much as boys....and since she had already caught me making out with my girlfriend after school one day, she was going mental about it all. I finally convinced her that it was cool and I wasn't planning on being a professional female fighter, hehe....
Q: But you ultimately did. What happened then?
A: After I got out of school, I started a web blog (CatFightingWildcats.Com) and started making money and gaining well-paying sponsors,. When she saw it was actually a true business, she mellowed. I started on the professional catfighting circuit and did really well. She still isn't comfortable reading about my sexual exploits with other girls, but she's coming around;)
Q: So why the name "CatBitch"?
A: It was a nickname I gave myself when we were back in my backyard fooling around. We were kinda drunk one day and I was imitating those WWF wrestlers on tv doing their raps. It just stuck and now it's really become who I am - a lean, mean female fighting machine! LOL!!
