Q: We'd like to welcome Tanya today and thank her for joining us here at StreetFightGirls.Com to discuss her female fighting activities. "Hi, Tanya".
A: Hello. This is pretty exciting for me. First time interviewed.

Q: Well let's get right down to it. You're from Russia, and we're dying to know how you came to catfighting and America both?
A: I'm from a small town just north of Moscow and had friends who were living in the city. They would tell me of these private clubs (I think you call them "underground" here) where rich men paid local girls to fight each other. They would bet and of course pay for sex with them. I wasn't interested in being prostituski, but wanted to make money, so...

Q: You moved there?
A: Da, in the summer of 2002. I was introduced to a man named Sergi who was the "master of fights" at one of these clubs and he got me fights with other girls. Some were very violent, but I didn't mind, I have three brothers and can fight good.

Q: I bet, you're very muscular.
A: Thank you. I work out in gym every day if I can. Russian fighting is more hard than American catfighting, at least what I've seen of it here in New York. More men come to try and have sex with the women than actually watch the fighting sometimes here.

Q: Do you think the fighting is "softer" here, then?
A: Da, most time. In Russia the girls are many time drunk and I've seen some very bad things happen. They are poor and desperate and the fighting is the only thing that can make them enough money to leave. I was lucky, I made enough to get out before I was too badly hurt.

Q: And you now live and work in this country, correct?
A: In New York, now. I love it here. So many things to see and do. I make good money fighting on the club circuit at the casino's and private nightclubs. My goal is to make enough to move to Florida and have beach house.

Q: Are there any examples of Russian Catfighting on the net?
A: Yes. There is a DVD out featuring "Real Russian Catfights" that has some pretty brutal stuff on it. I like it quite a bit, lol!

Q: Is there anything you miss about Russia?
A: Many things, but not the hard times. There a woman has many bad choices to just try and survive. Many girls end up as the sexual play things of bad men. I fought hard so it wouldn't happen to me.

Q: Our congrats on that and thanks for taking the time to answer some of our questions. We hope you continue to have good luck in your female fighting career here in the states.
A: Thank you. I will work hard and be the best I can do. It's a dream to be here. I like Americans.
